Difference between Rod mill and Ball mill

The characteristic of Rod mill is rinding media and ore in the process of grinding is line contact, grinded product grain size is evener, crushing ore grain is less.For coarse grinding, the product particle size of 1-3 mm, the capacity of rod mill is greater than with the specifications of the ball mill;When used for fine grinding, the product particle size is less than 0.5 mm, grinding effect is not like the specifications of the ball mill.Rod mill feed particle size is usually 15 to 25 mm, when the diameter of the rod mill is greater than 2400 mm, feed particle size limit of 40-50 mm, rod mill product particle size limit can be up to 1-3 mm.

 

At present, the mostly used is less than 4500 mm diameter rod mill.

 

And about the use of ball mill, mill commonly used ball mill have grid type and overflow type two kinds.Grid type and short cylinder and their type two kinds.Usually short cylinder used for coarse grinding, their type is used to teach fine grinding.
